Q. What is the War-X race campaign?
A. It is a 3 race series in 1 year. Each race has different obstacles, challenges, and battles. Complete all 3 races and win a badass campaign medal in addition to the individual race awards. The top finisher in each 10k race receives a Free ticket to the War-X Survival event.
Q. What should I wear for a WAR-X event?
A. Weather plays a significant role in each event and should be considered. Your attire should be based on comfort, and mobility. You will be constantly exposed to outdoor elements, rough terrain, forests, wet, muddy, and dry conditions.
Q. How should I prepare physically?
A. WAR-X events are physically demanding but you don’t need to be in the best shape of your life. Determination and mental fortitude is just as, if not more important.
Q. Is this event similar to the mud runs and obstacle course races like Tough Mudder and Spartan Run?
A. War-X races are obstacle races under fire, giving you the experience of running through a war zone. Every imaginable distraction will find you along the way. The War-X Survival event is not a race. It is a scenario based experience dictated by the mission. It is not just physical obstacles. War-X Survival will test you physically and mentally. You will not be running or attacking obstacles the whole time. There will be periods to recuperate physically, but there will be action constantly as you aim to complete objective within the timeframe.
Q. What if I am injured during the event?
A. If an injury occurs during the event, WAR-X staff is trained to make an initial assessment and provide first aid. Participants requiring advanced medical attention will be evacuated to closest medical facility.
Q. Is War-x racing a competition?
A. Yes! Top finishers receive additional recognition and awards. All finishers receive swag!
Q. What is the difference between a race and the survival weekend?
A. Isn’t that self explanatory?
Q. Does WAR-X provide medical insurance?
A. Each participant is covered under a medical insurance plan.
Q. Where can I buy WAR-X merchandise?
A. You can’t buy it. You earn it.
Q. What can I bring to the event?
A. For a race, just bring yourself, change of clothes, and some cash. For a survival event, a packing list detailing what you should and shouldn’t bring will be emailed to you once you register.
Q. What should I leave at home?
A. Your ego.
Q. How long is the WAR-X survival event?
A. Event completion times vary, but the survival weekend begins 0900 Saturday and ends roughly 1500 on Sunday.
Q. Can I quit if Its too much or I just cant make it it through?
A. Anyone can quit at anything in life. Just know you will be judged, labeled and excommunicated.
Q. Will WAR-X make me cry?
Q. Will an event be cancelled due to weather conditions?
A. No. WAR-X events will operate in all weather conditions. In the event of short-term, extreme weather, the event will pause for safety.
Q. Can I show up and sign up the day of an event?
A. For races, Yes. For survival events, No. We recommend registering for all of our events ahead of time. It saves you money and guarantees t-shirt sizes, giveaways, etc. The survival events are extremely exclusive and allow limited participants.
Q. Will WAR-X refund my entry fee?
A. WAR-X events are changed and planned for based on number of participants months ahead of time. Participants will be given option to reschedule within a 12 month period or forfeit registration fee. Participant’s registration fee will not be refunded but can be gifted or transferred.
Q. What if I can’t complete the WAR-X event?
A. Quitting really won’t be a good option. If there is an emergency requiring you to leave the event early, you will be given the option to return at a later date depending on the situation.
Q. How old do I have to be to attend?
A. 18 years old on the start day of event, or a signed legal release from liability if you are under 18.
Q. Will I receive training for the survival event?
A. Yes. You will receive training on basic survival techniques, navigation, weapon usage, and some tactical training. The survival event is also meant to test your ability to adapt and overcome the unknown.
